83 M: EXCEED ALL EXPECTATIONS

83 M: EXCEED ALL EXPECTATIONS

During the latest Monaco Yacht Show we were very proud to present our brand-new 83-metre project, that introduces another ground-breaking concept.

This project leads into yet another dimension – going beyond fashions and trends  – with the idea of satisfying the owner who demands something more – not only a status symbol but also a fresh interpretation of style itself and what it means to experience life at sea in all its fitful moods and seasons.

This 83-metres introduces a touch – a breath – of adventure; a promise – a veiled allusion to those vibes reserved only for  those who push out into the remotest parts of the unknown. And all this without sacrificing one iota of style and comfort, yet in complete respect of the environment.

With her powerful yet refined look, her harmonic but not hedonistic lines, her sophisticated but not frivolous style, the VSY 83 metres exudes strong personality, offering stability, safety, extreme comfort on board and  a range of up to 6,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots (18.5 knots maximum speed).

Her external lines have been entrusted as usual to Espen Oeino and to Laurent Giles for the naval architecture, while all the engineering is VSY.

This 2,650 GRT project, length 83 metres, max beam 15.60 metres, proposes and reinterprets the stylistic features of the award-winning younger sistership, Stella Maris, with various hints at the modern explorers.

The steel hull, which comes from a new one-metre wider platform, is reproposed in  charcoal grey to enhance design impact.

The internal layout is divided into staggered decks for greater volumes and floor-to-ceiling windows, creating very light open spaces which  lend greater fluidity of movement and visual continuity both inside and out.

The helideck is certified HCA /MCA for Agusta Westland 169 aircraft  allowing 24-hour operations: take-off and landing – including Royal Navy-type side landing which is a plus and of strategic importance for the vocation of this yacht to sail in the most hidden places and  corners of the globe without ever forgetting her ecological soul .

This 83 metres, in fact, carries forward and enhances all the technologies already developed by our shipyard in terms of engine, pollution, treatment and disposal of waste water, which are an integral part of their broader strategy of sustainability – now recognized and awarded internationally.
A direct and closer relationship with nature and the environment, implicit in the explorer philosophy, is also assured thanks to the impressive beach in the stern area, with 180 square metres of surface in close proximity to the sea and the abundance of open-air spaces (979 square metres), it features a spa on the sun deck and a large open-air swimming pool on the main deck aft.
The two 35ft large tenders, a limo and an open, are housed in a special garage next to the beach club, freeing up additional space at the stern  to the advantage of the many leisure activities available to owner and guests.
And of course there are also all the assets qualifying tip-top service excellence on board:  acoustic comfort, domotic solutions and the finest entertainment systems, accessible from each cabin, from the gym to the wellness area with hammam, sauna steam and massage room and the sophisticated Kongsberg control system for the integrated management of navigation instrumentation, communication and automation.
In essence, we can assure that this is a masterpiece of style and technology for an informed and therefore more satisfying navigation, that complies with the highest standards of certification –  Lloyd’s Environmental and Ice Class 1D –  which entitles exclusive access including to protected marine areas.
