The Monaco Rendez Vous is not only a prestigious gathering of superyacht owners from around the world, but also offers the opportunity for onboard Chefs to express their talent and creativity in a fun contest, relaxed and stimulating at the same time.
Again this year, the Chef’s Competition, in which each participating chef showcases crativity, talent and professionalism, was a great success. Each chef is alloted the same raw materials and the same time available, at the end the professional and prestigious jury awards the prize to the menu most original and successful. The President of the jury of this edition, Christian Garcia – Chef de Cuisine to HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco – and the chef of the Yacht Club of Monaco, and the most prestigious hotels of the Principality, selected Cristiano Tomei, onboard chef of Stella Maris, as this year’s winner. The dishes created for the competition highlighted the best of his skills in interpreting the ingredients and the spirit of Stella Maris, winning over the jury unanimously.
