On Wednesday 26th June 2013 aboard M/Y Stella Maris, Director VSY, Cristiana Longarini, and General Director for Sustainable Development, Climate and Energy of the Italian Ministry of the Environment, Corrado Clini, signed an agreement on the promotion of projects aimed at analysis, reduction and neutralization of climate changes impact in the shipbuilding industry, in presence of the Ambassador of Italy in the Principality of Monaco, Antonio Morabito.
VSY shipyard undertakes energy and resources to obtain products able to guarantee high performance reducing environmental impact. This agreement aims to intensify theirs environmental policy in the field of climate change, to support all the initiatives according to government policies on Kyoto Protocol and the EU “Climate-Energy Package” and to define specific steps towards a new, more sustainable governance in the marine system.
